I have always been an admirer of art. In my younger days, doodling was something I always did while on the telephone. After retirement I began searching for something to fill my time. A sweet church friend invited me to take an art class and I soon realized I found much enjoyment in what I was learning to do. Although my Dad was an artist, I never took the time to watch him long enough to learn much about art. A well known artist, Milton Lenoir, was my first teacher and then later a very talented artist, Tom Corley. Landscapes and Seascapes was how I started and since then I have found enjoyment in angels, florals and a variety of other subjects. I soon found out that painting was my happy place. I give God the credit and the glory for leading me into the peace and contentment that I feel while painting. In sharing my art with others I only pray that this same blessing is felt by them as they enjoy my artwork.
